Tillery’s Towing Troops responded to Central Avenue last weekend for the call of an 18-wheeler that was high centered and blocking traffic near Carl Drive.
Tillery’s Towing General Manager Rick Dodd said that the landing gear for the trailer was partially ripped from the bottom of the trailer when the driver of the semi attempted to negotiate the uneven driveway entrance when exiting the parking lot.
Hot Springs Police arrived quickly and assisted by blocking traffic and setting up detours around the scene. traffic flow was interrupted for approximately 1.25 hours.
Tillery’s heavy wrecker “Hoss” was used to lift the trailer off the truck and reposition it to a spot on Central Avenue, away from the obstacle. The trailer was reconnected to the truck and the 18-wheeler was able to drive off under it’s own power.
No injury was reported.
