All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.

Hot Springs Police responded to the call of a submerged car under the Carpenter Dam Bridge on Lake Catherine this afternoon.

When other dealerships say NO, we say YES. We work for you, not the banks, and we want to get you into a car regardless of your credit situation. We build our loans to fit right into your budget. Lloyd’s Auto Sales wants to help you rebuild your credit. Let us get you financed right here in Hot Springs, where we serve all of Arkansas.

A father and son were fishing under the bridge when they reportedly found the car.

Hot Springs Police arrived quickly and called the Lake Hamilton Fire Department’s Rescue Boat Crew to assist with recovery of the submerged car.  LHFD Command Staff and the Boat Crew arrived quickly and began recovery procedures.

Holcomb’s Transport & Recovery was called to the scene to recover the vehicle.  They recovered  the car from the lake with no problem at all and removed it from the scene.

Once out of there water, several bullet holes were located in at least 5 locations down the passenger side of the car.   The car’s pertinents were run through the police computer and it was determined that this vehicle had been reported stolen sometime prior to finding it in the lake.  No other details were available at the time.  It is not known to me how long the car had been in the water.
