Owner Finds Stolen Car At Valero; Fight…Arrest – HOT SPRINGS

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Hot Springs Police Officers responded to a call for a fight involving a knife and a gun last night at the Crawford Drive Valero Gas Station.

Hot Springs Police arrived at the gas pumps and located a black Dodge Charger that had been reported stolen by the owner about an hour earlier in the evening.  The Charger’s owner and a friend of his were driving around the city in search of the stolen vehicle when they located it at a Valero gas pump.  A vehicle was blocking the Charger from moving forward and the vehicle the owner arrived in blocked the rear of the Charger.  The owner stated that he approached the suspects in control of the Charger at the time and a fight broke out.

According to witnesses at the scene, the suspects fled the area on foot during the fight, but not before 1 of them pulled out a gun.  The suspects fled north on Higdon Ferry.  HSPD Officers located at least 1 person on Woodlawn Street that fit the description of 1 of the suspects.  That juvenile (possibly both suspects) was arrested and transported to the Garland County Detention Center.

The Charger was turned over to the owner before police departed the area.
