Gunfire, Hit & Run Crash At Hardee’s; Halloween Night – HOT SPRINGS

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

Halloween Night, around 6:22, Hot Springs Police responded to a call of gunfire at a gas station located at the Grand Avenue/Central Avenue Intersection.

As police were en route to that location, an eastbound, gold Jaguar sedan jumped the curb at Hardee’s on Grand Avenue, just 1 block east of that location.  The Jaguar struck a small tree and slammed into a large SUV that was parked in the Hardee’s Parking Lot.  The driver of the Jaguar jumped out and fled the scene on foot.  The airbags in the Jaguar deployed as a result of this crash.

A Ruger .380 caliber pistol was found by detectives in the front driver’s seat area of the Jaguar and the report states that a strong odor of marijuana allegedly filled the crashed Jaguar sedan.

No injuries were reported in connection to these 2 events that I am aware of.

It is unknown whether the 2 events are related.
