Alleged: Wanted Suspect Beats Girlfriend..Meth Bust Follows; Felony Arrest – HOT SPRINGS

All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.

Hot Springs Police Officer First Class W. Smith reports that he was dispatched to a residence on Grove Street February 16, 2021, around 5PM, for a domestic disturbance.

Officers arrived and made contact with a witness.  The witness said that she saw the suspect, on top of his girlfriend.  Directly after seeing that, the witness reports hearing what sounded like a person being body slammed.

Officers were able to determine the identity of the suspect as Aaron Scott Taylor, 29, of Grove Street in Hot Springs.  A check of his pertinents through the police computer revealed that Mr. Taylor had arrest warrants outstanding for him at the time.

Officers located the victim in a locked bathroom.  Officers got into the bathroom and found that Mr. Taylor was in there too.  Mr. Taylor was arrested and searched.  During the search, officers located a .2 gram rock of meth.

The victim had physical injury of her lip, elbow, eye and side of her face.

Mr. Taylor was transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing.  He is charged with Felony Possession Of A Controlled Substance and Domestic Battery and was being held without bond.  Warrants for Failure To Appear and Failure To Comply were also served.
