Alleged: Wanted Man With A Meth Pipe and Stolen Car..Stuck In A Mud Hole; Felony Arrest – HOT SPRINGS

Posted by Arkansas 911 News Chief Editor Paul Maddox

All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.

Hot Springs Police Officer W. Smith reports that he was dispatched to the 1400 block of Carpenter Dam Road January 10, 2022, around 2AM to conduct a welfare check concerning a vehicle in the ditch and a person hitch hiking.

Officers arrived and found a white Chevrolet Cruze struck in a mud hole on a trail.  The vehicle’s pertinents were checked through the police computer.  The check revealed that the Chevrolet ($5,000 value) was reported stolen out of Texas.

Contact was made with a man in the driver’s seat.  The officers attempted to put the man into handcuffs and he actively resisted and pulled away from the effort.  When asked to identify himself, the man gave a full name, DOB and said he was from Oklahoma.  Those pertinents were checked through the police computer.  No one with that name/DOB existed in the computer files.  The suspect was arrested.

During a search of the vehicle, officers found:  a used meth pipe and a scale with white residue.

The suspect was transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing.  During the booking process, the suspect identified himself as Damonte Sylessraysean Walters 18, of CR 6 in Henderson, Texas.  Officers found him and his picture in the police computer.  They checked his real pertinents and discovered that he was wanted out of Gregg County, Texas.

Damonte Sylessraysean Walters 18, of CR 6 in Henderson, Texas – Allegedly in a stolen car with a meth pipe and stuck in a Hot Springs mud hole.
