Alleged: Traffic Stop..Wanted Parolee And A Woman With Meth; Felony Arrest – HOT SPRINGS

Hot Springs Police Officer McAdoo reports that he was on patrol October 12, 2021, around 4AM, in the area of Central Avenue around Central City when he found a grey Honda Pilot being operated on public streets with an extremely bright light mounted to the front of the vehicle.  Off. McAdoo turned on the blue lights and conducted a traffic stop on the Honda.

Off. McAdoo made contact with the driver, William Dudley Denton, 58, of Highway 298 in Jessieville.  Mr. Denton’s pertinents were checked through the police computer.  The check revealed that he was currently on parole and wanted by the Arkansas Board of Parole.  He was arrested.

Off. McAdoo then made contact with the front seat passenger, Jennifer L. Draper, 43, of W. Maurice Street in Hot Springs, and the back seat passenger.  Their pertinents were checked through the police computer.  The check revealed that neither had a valid driver’s license.,  So, a wrecker truck was called to the scene for the Honda.

Prior to towing the Honda, officers conduct a vehicle inventory.  Inside a purse on the front passenger floorboard, officers located approximately 1.3 grams of meth in 2 small baggies.  Ms. Draper told the officers that this purse did not belong to her.  Ms. Draper was detained.  Upon second look inside the purse, a debit card issued to Ms. Draper was found.  Ms. Draper was arrested.

The back seat passenger was not mentioned again in the police report.

Parolee Denton and Ms. Draper were transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing.

Parolee Denton was served with the parole warrant and is being held without bond.

Ms. Draper is charged with Felony Possession Of A Controlled Substance with bond set at $2,500.
