Alleged: Traffic Stop..No License Plate, But Has Search Waiver And Meth; Felony Arrest – HOT SPRINGS

All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.

Hot Springs Police Officer Montgomery and Officer First Class Cox report that they were on patrol July 19, 2021, around 9AM, in the area of Drexel Street when they found an unlicensed Toyota vehicle driving around on public streets.

They turned on the blue lights, conducted a traffic stop on the Toyota and made contact with the driver, Toni Marie Palmquist, 29, of Bower Street in Hot Springs.  They checked her pertinents through the police computer and saw that she had a valid court sanctioned search waiver on file.  The officers searched the Toyota.

In the headliner, above the driver’s seat, they found a clear plastic baggie containing approximately .3 gram of what field tested positive for meth.  Ms. Palmquist was arrested.

She was transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing.  She is charged with Felony Possession Of A Controlled Substance with bond set at $2,500.
