All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.
Garland County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputy Blunkall reports that patrol units were dispatched to the 200 block of Cessna Circle on May 12, 2021, around 6PM, for the call of a shooting that had just taken place at a residence.
Deputies arrived quickly and determined that an adult male had been shot in the arm.
The victim told GCSO CID Investigators that he entered the residence and got into an argument with the resident of the house, Amanda Marie Hancock, 45, of Cessna Circle in Garland County. He said that Ms. Hancock retrieved a firearm from inside the residence which led to an altercation over the firearm. The firearm discharged and shot him in the arm.
The victim is the owner of the residence. He and Ms. Hancock had previously lived together in this residence.
Ms. Hancock was arrested at the scene and transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing. She is charged with Felony Domestic Battery and was initially being held without bond.
