All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.
Hot Springs Police Officer Crook reports that he was dispatched to a fast food type restaurant on Central Avenue for the complaint of a stolen bank card.
Off. Crook arrived and made contact with the restaurant manager and employee Hunter Allen Hoover, 19, of Lowden Street in Malvern. Contact was made with the victim via phone. The victim said that she was at this location a few days prior and purchased a meal with her bank card. She completed the transaction and departed and went home. She realized later that she accidentally left her card in the reader machine at the cash register.
Video of the incident was reviewed and it showed that employee Hoover took possession of the card, put it in his pants pocket and exited the store.
Mr. Hoover was arrested and transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing.
He is charged with Felony Theft with bond set at $2,500.
