All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.

Arkansas State Police Trooper Robbins was on patrol in the area of Lonsdale on Highway 70 East when he alerted Troop K Dispatch that he was in pursuit of a small silver car yesterday around 6PM.  The reason for the stop is unknown to me.

The driver of the silver car allegedly hammered down and stayed on it to the tune of over 120 Mph according to records of the chase.  The suspect vehicle passed other vehicles in the turn lane and performed all kinds of other illegal maneuvers into Saline County, East on Interstate 30, down the access road and onto South Street in Benton.

Once on South Street, Trp. Robbins executed a successful PIT Maneuver on the suspect vehicle.  The suspect vehicle spun out of control and came to a stop with the driver’s door touching the trooper car’s front bumper.

The Driver, Parolee Rocky Dean Johns, 25, of N. Monroe Street in Benton, was arrested as fast as the trooper could get the handcuffs on him.

Parolee Rocky Dean Johns, 25, of N. Monroe Street in Benton – was on parole for some reason.

An ambulance was called to the scene for a pregnant female that was in the suspect vehicle during the chase.  Her condition and disposition are unknown to me.

Troop A Troopers out of Little Rock and Arkansas Highway Police assisted with this event.

Traffic flow was interrupted on South Street for approximately 35 min.

Parolee Johns was transported back to the Garland County Detention Center for processing.

The suspect vehicle was towed from the scene.
