Alleged: Parolees Under DTF Surveillance Busted Coming Out Of Dope House; Felony Arrest x2 – HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE

18th Judicial District East Drug Task Force Investigators report that they and Arkansas Community Corrections Agents were conducting surveillance on 160 Arias Way in Hot Springs Village May 10, 2021, around noon when they watched Absconding Parolee Nathan David Holmes, 34, of Alcorn Street in Hot Springs, and home owner Parolee Mandy Cavanaugh, 33, of Arias Way in Hot Springs Village, exit the residence and board Ms. Cavanaugh’s 2006 gold Chrysler Pacifica.  Parolee Holmes was wanted by the Arkansas Parole Board and the Hot Springs Police Department for Delivery Of A Controlled Substance.

Absconding Parolee Nathan David Holmes, 34, of Alcorn Street in Hot Springs – Allegedly running a dope house, fled on foot and hit a deputy in the face.

Parolee Mandy Cavanaugh, 33, of Arias Way in Hot Springs Village – Allegedly owned and operated a dope house in the village while on parole with a search waiver.

It was determined that both parolees agreed to search waivers as a condition of their early release under the parole guidelines.  The search waivers included on demand searches of their persons, vehicles and residences.

Soon after they departed the residence in the Chrysler, Garland County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies that were assisting with the surveillance operation conducted a traffic stop on the Chrysler.  The passenger, Parolee Holmes was ordered out of the car.  He fled from the deputies on foot.  CLICK HERE to read about the foot chase.

Parolee Holmes was caught, arrested and transported by LifeNet Ambulance to the hospital.  Parolee Cavanaugh was arrested and transported back to her house where officers went inside and searched her home.

Inside the residence, officers found: approximately 21.5 grams of marijuana, 4.4 grams of meth, approximately 20.6 grams of mushrooms, small amount of Xanax bars, 2 sets of digital scales, syringes, a marijuana grinder and other drug paraphernalia.

Parolee Cavanaugh was transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing.  She is charged with Felony Maintaining A Drug Premise, Felony Possession Of Meth With Intent To Deliver, Felony Possession Of A Controlled Substance With Intent To Deliver, Possession Of A Controlled Substance With Intent To Deliver x2 and Felony Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia with bond set at $10,000.  A parole hold has been placed on Parolee Cavanaugh.

Parolee Holmes was soon released from the hospital and transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing.  He is charged with Felony Absconding, Felony Battery On Law Enforcement Officer, Resisting Arrest, Possession Of Meth With Intent To Deliver, Felony Possession Of A Controlled Substance With Intent To Deliver, Possession Of A Controlled Substance With Intent To Deliver x2, Felony Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, Felony Maintaining A Drug Premise, Felony Delivery Of Meth Or Cocaine, Theft By Receiving and Fraudulent Use Of A Credit Card with bond set at $51,500.  A parole hold has been placed on Parolee Holmes.
