Alleged: Man With Rifle Complaint Leads To Parole Absconder With Meth; Felony Arrest – HOT SPRINGS

All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.

Hot Springs Police Officer Larkin reports that he was dispatched to the 400 Block of Park Avenue July 15, 2021, around 9PM, for the complaint of a man holding a rifle.

Off. Larkin arrived and made contact with a man that appeared to be trying to hide something in the bushes.  That man was detained for investigation.  His pertinents were checked through the police computer.  The check revealed that this was Parole Absconder Raymond Lee Sheely, 50, homeless in Hot Springs.  The parolee was arrested and searched.

The search of Parolee Sheely’s person yielded approximately .2 gram of meth.

Parolee Sheely was transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing.  He is charged with Felony Possession Of Meth with bond set at $2,500.

There was no further mention of a rifle in the arrest report.
