Alleged: June Traffic Crash..Lines Down..Power Out For Many.. .31% BAC..DWI Charge; Arrest – GARLAND COUNTY

Arkansas State Trooper Robbins investigated a DWI crash On Highway 70 West at Majestic Lodge Road June 27, 2021, around 10PM, where a grey 2021 Mazda CX with Arkansas tags crashed into an electrical fixtures(s) that supplies power to the area.

Evidence at the scene included the wrecked vehicle, downed power lines and an open container of alcohol.  The traffic light at this intersection had been disabled as a result of the crash.

No injury was reported.

Trp. Robbins met with the driver, Daria Breanne Seay, 30, of Windamere Street in Garland County.  While speaking to Ms. Seay, Trp. Robbins suspected that she may be under the influence of alcohol.  He asked her if she had been drinking and she said “no”.  He asked her the same question a minute later and she said that she drank some alcohol about an hour before the crash took place.

Daria Breanne Seay, 30, of Windamere Street in Garland County – Allegedly crashed a Mazda and took out a major traffic light while operating the vehicle at nearly 4x the legal alcohol limit.

Ms. Seay participated with roadside Standardized Field Sobriety Testing.  She did not score well during the testing.  She was arrested and transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing.

Ms. Seay was charged with DWI, Open Alcohol Container In Motor Vehicle and Failure TO Maintain Control Of Motor Vehicle with bond initially set at $1,000.
