Hot Springs Police Officer First Class Davis reports that he was on patrol on Central Avenue July 13, 2021, around 7PM, when he saw a grey Ford Mustang being operated on city streets. He has personal knowledge that the registered owner of the Mustang had a suspended driver’s license at the time. He turned on the blue lights and conducted a traffic stop.
The Mustang pulled into a driveway and stopped. Then took off and ran a stop sign. The Mustang was fleeing. The parade route included Vineyard Street, Seventh Street and on to a residence on Campbell Street. The vehicle was operated in a reckless manner during the pursuit; ran the stop sign, high rate of speed through neighborhoods, traveling in the wrong lane. The driver stopped at a residence in the 400 block of Campbell Street and fled on foot behind a residence.
Taedrian Patrick Gibson, 22, of West Belding Street in Hot Springs, was caught and arrested.
The Mustang was inventoried before it was towed from the scene. Officers found approximately 2 grams of marijuana on the floorboard.
Mr. Gibson was transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing. He is charged with Felony Fleeing, Possession Of A Controlled Substance and several traffic violations. Bond was set at $3,500.
