Alleged: Hired Day Worker Returns At Night..Breaks Into Shed..Dope Bust

All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.

Hot Springs Police Officer Murray reports that he was dispatched to Park Avenue October 13, 2021, around 7PM, to investigate the complaint of a known person breaking into a shed.

Off. Murray arrived and made contact with the victim. The victim pointed to a man that was near the shed.  Off. Murray identified him as Jeffrey Wayne Shaw, 35, of Dell Street in Hot Springs.

Jeffrey Wayne Shaw, 35, of Dell Street in Hot Springs – Allegedly hired to help, broke in at night with meth in his pocket.

The doors on the shed were damaged and hanging on busted hinges (approximately $50 damage).  The victim told police Mr. Shaw had been hired earlier that day to work at this house, but had no reason to be in the shed or on the property at night like this.  The victim said that he pulled up and saw Mr. Shaw getting into the shed.

Mr. Shaw was arrested and searched.  During the search, officers located a meth pipe and .9 gram meth in his pockets.

Mr. Shaw was transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing.  He is charged with Felony Possession Of Meth, Felony Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia and Criminal Mischief with bond set a $6,000.
