Fleeing Fugitive Captured With Dope Following Hit & Run Crash In Princeton

On April 7, 2021, shortly before 2pm Dallas County received a 911 call about a single vehicle accident on Highway 9 near Princeton. The caller advised that the driver had fled into the woods carrying some bags.

Deputies quickly arrived on scene and set up a perimeter. Units with Arkansas Game and Fish Commission arrived on scene with a K9 to help track the driver.

A short time later, the driver was located hiding in the woods.

John Caleb Ross, 29, has been booked into the Dallas County Jail on the following charges: Leaving the scene of an accident, driving on a suspended license, fleeing on foot, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and an outstanding warrant from the Arkansas Board of Parole was served.
