All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.
Garland County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputy Presley reports that she, Deputy Tatum and National Park Ranger Del Pozzo were dispatched to a residence on Indian Mountain Road June 6, 2021, for the complaint of a woman being held against her will in the residence.
Dep. Presley arrived at a nearby intersection and made contact with the lady’s husband, who was sitting in his truck. The husband told dispatchers that his wife called him and said that Shane Bradley, 47, of Indian Mountain Road in Garland County, was holding her hostage. The husband told Dep. Presley that just prior to her arrival, Mr. Bradley called him from his wife’s phone and told him that he was not going to let her go.
The officers set a perimeter around the house.
Dep. Tatum made contact with Mr. Bradley and the victim at the front door to the house. While the 2 were engaged in conversation, Dep. Presley told the victim to come off the porch and go to the NPS Ranger. She came down, appeared to be in distress and hid behind a vehicle. Dep. Presley went over to her. The victim was crying and told her that she thought Mr. Bradley came to her home (which is very nearby) and grabbed her while she was getting her child to a nap. He took her against her will to his house and would not let her leave. She said that she was able to use her phone, while inside his house, to call her husband and tell him what was happening. She said that she thought he was going to kill her.
The victim stood up and then fell to the ground. When asked if she was ok, she said “no”. Dep. Presley saw blood on the victim’s shirt. The victim said that Mr. Bradley hit her in the back of the head with a tool. A small cut was present behind the victim’s ear. She also said that he put a knife to her chest. Dep. Presley looked and saw an indention and a small cut on her sternum area. The victim was transported to the hospital by a LifeNet Ambulance Crew.
Mr. Bradley was detained and transported to the sheriff’s CID Office for questioning. After the meeting, Mr. Bradley was arrested and transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing. He is charged with Felony False Imprisonment with bond set at $20,000.
