All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.
Hot Springs Police Sergeant Adkins supervised the investigation of a DWI crash on prospect Avenue early Sunday Morning.
Evidence at the scene showed that the northbound Ford truck drifted to the right and struck the rear of a Jeep that was parked at the curb. The Ford came to a controlled stop along side the Jeep, which pretty much stayed parked at the curb after impact.
Hot Springs Fire & Rescue Troops arrived quickly and assisted as necessary.
LifeNet dispatched an Ambulance Crew to the scene. They met with the driver, but did not transport her to the hospital.
The driver, Rhea Celeste Southern, 23, of parts unknown, was arrested participated in roadside Standardized Field Sobriety Testing. She was arrested at the conclusion of the tests and transported to the Garland County Sheriff’s Department for processing.
The child was picked up by family/friend.
Ms. Southern is charged with Felony Endangering The Welfare Of A Minor and DWI with a bond amount totaling $3,500.
