All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.
Hot Springs Police Officers Greene, Smith and McAdoo were on East Grand Avenue August 17, 2021, around 2AM, when they saw a white Honda Civic turn into the Dodge’s Store. The car was being driven on several flat tires and a spare. The vehicle was displaying a Wisconsin license plate.
The officers made contact with the driver, Hannah Grace Baker, 26, of Whittington Avenue in Hot Springs, and 2 passengers. They were all Mirandized and the passengers were not mentioned again in the report.
The license plate was checked through the police computer and was found to be not valid. They ran a check on the vehicle’s VIN and determined that the Honda was reported stolen out of Hot Springs on August 14, 2021. The value of the Honda is $23,350.
Ms. Baker told officers that she found the keys to the Honda while walking downtown on August 14. She walked around the area pressing the key fob button until she found the car near the parking garage. She drove the car away and had possession of it until now. Ms. Baker was arrested and the vehicle was searched.
Inside the vehicle, officers found a bag containing 3 used syringes, 2 meth loaded syringes and approximately 5.3 grams of marijuana. Ms. Baker said the drugs and drug paraphernalia belonged to her.
Ms. Baker was transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing. She is charged with Felony Theft, Felony Possession Of Meth, Possession Of A Controlled Substance and Felony Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia with bond set at $9,500.
