All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty on court.
Dallas County Sheriff Stan McGahee reports that patrol deputies with his department were dispatched to an abandoned vehicle parked at a vacant building on Highway 167 Friday before noon.
Deputies arrived and found a vehicle parked underneath a carport. A door on the building was partially open.
Deputies went in and cleared the unsecured building. Jason Wade Lindsey, 32, of Cash Street in Fordyce and Misty Pennington , age unknown, of Camden, were found to be inside the building.
Deputies searched the vehicle. They discovered a small cache of stolen guns, another gun, several ecstasy pills and a substantial amount of meth. Mr. Lindsey is a convicted felon and prohibited by state law from possessing firearms.
Mr. Lindsey and Ms. Pennington were arrested on the spot and transported to the Dallas County Detention Center for processing.
Mr. Lindsey is charged with Felony Theft By Receiving x4, Felony Possession Of A Firearm By Certain Person, Simultaneous Possession Of Drugs And Firearm, Possession Of Meth With Intent To Deliver Possession Of Ecstasy With Intent To Deliver and is being held without bond.
Ms. Pennington is charged with Criminal Trespass. She has since bonded out of jail…bond amount unknown.
