All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.
Hot Springs Police Officer Tart reports that he was dispatched to a gas station at the Central Avenue/Grand Avenue Intersection June 10, 2021, around midnight to investigate the complaint of trespassing by a person previously banned from the property.
Off. Tart arrived and found the suspect, Deangelo Jerome Ford, 35, of South Patterson Street in Hot Springs, standing on the sidewalk at the entrance of the store.
Off. Tart made contact with the complainant (employee of the store). The complainant said that Mr. Ford had been on the property in 2019 and was banned at that time for causing problems. The complainant said that Mr. Ford has been nothing but a problem for him and the store. He wishes to pursue criminal trespassing charges.
Mr. Ford was arrested. Mr. Ford began saying that he was going to burn the gas station down. When Off. Tart walked Mr. Ford to the police car, he looked directly at the complainant and said he was going to “lock him in the store, blow it up and kill him”. Mr. Ford was transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing. Mr. Ford continued to make threats to kill the complainant and law enforcement officers during the trip.
