Alleged: Banned From WalMart..Back In WalMart Stealing 43″ TV; Arrest – HOT SPRINGS

Hot Springs Police Officer First Class Wilson and Officer Rossini report that they conducted a traffic stop on a car in the 1600 block of Hobson Avenue on May 6, 2021, around 1PM.

The officers made contact with the driver, Andre Carelle Dunson, 36, of Bayard Street in Hot Springs.  During the course of the traffic stop, Mr. Dunson was arrested.

Officers had been briefed on a theft that had just taken place at WalMart on Albert Pike Road.  Taken in the heist were a 43″ tv and a soundbar speaker.  In the back seat of the car Mr. Dunson was driving was……a 43″ tv and a soundbar speaker.

Another officer brought a WalMart Loss Prevention Troop to the scene of the traffic stop.  The WalMart Troop positively identified Mr. Dunson as the person he observed on video surveillance of the theft.  He confirmed that this was the person that came into WalMart, placed an Onn tv (valued at $299) and a Vizio soundbar speaker (valued at $178) into a buggy, pass all points of payment with the items, exit the store without paying, come to this vehicle and place the tv and speaker into this vehicle.  Then, fled off in this vehicle.

The WalMart Troop also confirmed that Mr. Dunson had been banned from WalMart on October 4, 2018.

Mr. Dunson was arrested and transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing.  He is charged with Criminal Trespass and Theft Of Property with bond set at $1,750.
