This suspect was featured recently in the Hot Springs Police Facebook “Warrant Wednesday” feature that they run each week.
Hot Springs Police Officer Murray made contact with Jashaud Damorian West, 21, homeless of Hot Springs. The police report states that Mr. West had jumped from a car on Valley Street and run into the middle of the street.
Mr. Jashaud West initially, allegedly gave Off. Murray the name “James West”. However, Off. Murray knew Mr. Jashaud West due to having dealt with him on previous occasion. After a police computer check on Jashaud West came back showing valid warrants for Aggravated Assault On Family Or Household Member, a second valid warrant for Violating A No Contact Order and a third valid warrant for Failure To Appear, he was arrested.
During a search of Mr. West, officers allegedly discovered a small baggie containing what the officers believed to be marijuana (3 grams).
Mr. West was transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing. He is charged with Obstructing Governmental Operations and Possession Of A Controlled Substance with a bond amount totaling $NO BOND.
