Hot Springs Police Officers were dispatched to the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Expressway yesterday morning in reference to a battery that had allegedly taken place in a vehicle while traveling on the expressway.
The victim alleges that her ex-boyfriend, Parolee Absconder Justin Dewayne Bailey, 36, of Billstown Road in Delight, had been acting erratically and attacked her as she was driving. After pulling over, he allegedly bit her hand while trying to take her keys. He then fled on foot into the woods.
After approximately 40 minutes of searching for the fleeing parolee, Officers Murray and Stone located him in the 600 Block of Lakeshore Drive and arrested him.
In his pocket, the officers located the victim’s driver’s license, debit cards, social security card and SNAP benefits card.
The police report notes that the victim had visible injury including bruises, swelling, redness to the face and what appeared to be a bite mark on her hand.
Parolee Absconder Bailey is charged with Felony Absconding and Domestic Battery with no bond available.
