Evidence at the scene showed that the Toyota was westbound on wet pavement.  While negotiating the curve, the rear of the vehicle began to rotate.  The Toyota exited the right side of the pavement, continued to rotate and slammed into an elevated driveway perpendicular the vehicle’s direction of travel.  The Toyota went airborne sideways for approximately 25 ft. before striking the ground.  It is unknown exactly how many times the vehicle overturned.  The Toyota collided with and ripped a very sturdy mailbox completely out of the ground, may have taken out a 2nd mailbox, crashed through a sturdy metal fence and came to final rest on it’s roof in the front yard of the residence at that location.

Morning Star Fire & Rescue Troops led by MSFD Chief Nathan Kew arrived quickly and assisted as needed.

LifeNet dispatched an Ambulance Crew to the scene and met with the driver of the car, but did not transport anyone to the hospital.

Traffic flow was interrupted for approximately 15 minutes.
