Trooper Recovers Stolen Vehicle And Finds Dope During Hwy. 70E Traffic Stop; Felony Arrests – LONSDALE

Arkansas State Trooper Wingo was on patrol in the Lonsdale area when he stopped a black Ford Ranger pick-up truck that was fitted with a flatbed on Highway 70 East yesterday afternoon.

During the course of the traffic stop, he discovered that the truck had been reported stolen out of the Pine Bluff area.  The driver, Michael Edward Toombs, 27, of Cullerendo Way in Hot Springs Village, was arrested.

During a search of the vehicle, drugs and drug paraphernalia was allegedly found.

The passenger, Brande Alison Marshall, 42, of Malvern Avenue in Hot Springs was also arrested.

Both suspects were transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing.

Mr. Toombs is charged with Felony Theft By Receiving, Theft By Receiving, Felony Possession Of A Controlled Substance, Felony Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia x2 and Felony Unauthorized Use Of Another Person’s Property To Facilitate A Crime with a bond amount totaling $18,000.

Ms. Marshall is charged with Felony Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia x2 with a bond amount totaling $5,000.

This is a pic of the rear, passenger side tire of the suspect vehicle. The tire has deteriorated to the point that the sidewall is missing several chunks of rubber. These missing chunks of rubber like this were visible around the entire sidewall of this tire.
