2018 IRS Refund Schedule
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
Hot Springs Police were dispatched to a residence on Nevada Street in reference to a welfare check last night around 5:30PM.
When officers arrived at the residence, they discovered 3 deceased people. The HSPD Patrol People set a crime scene and summoned HSPD Detectives. Detectives later summoned the Garland County Duty Coroner to the scene.
HSPD Detectives developed information fairly quickly that put the suspect in a residence in the area of Golf Links Road at Martha Lane. HSPD Detectives utilized the their SWAT Team to attempt an arrest at that location. Golf Links Road was closed to all traffic for approximately 45 minutes at this location. Explosive devices were heard during this effort. As it turned out, the suspect was not at this location.
HSPD’ers regrouped a few hours later after developing information that put the suspect in a residence on Little Mazarn Road near the Randall Road Intersection. HSPD Detectives, SWAT, Command Personnel (including Chief Stachey and Assistant Chief Chapmond, Captains Everton and Hrvatin) along with Community Relations Officer First Class Williams and Media Relations Corporal Zaner all converged on the quiet, county neighborhood that sits between Amity Road and Lake Hamilton.
Approximately 5 minutes after HSPD SWAT Officers arrived at this house on Little Mazarn Road, their suspect was taken into custody without incident.
HSPD Cpl. Zaner was cool enough to grant a quick interview for us live on Facebook (see that video at the end of this story).
The suspect was transported by HSPD to the Hot Springs Police Department Headquarters for further investigation.
HSPD Detectives plan to charge the adult (convicted felon which is currently on parole) with 3 counts of Capital Murder. Capital Murder can carry the death penalty in Arkansas if convicted.
No injuries were reported in connection to the SWAT operations that I am aware of.
HSPD has not released the names of the victims or suspect as of yet.
