Officers arrived at a local pawn shop just in time to catch up with a suspect that was allegedly attempting to sell stolen jewelry taken in a Hot Springs burglary yesterday.
When asked where he obtained the jewelry, the suspect, Treshaun Muldrew, 19 of Plateau Street in Hot Springs, allegedly replied “in a sandwich bag on the ground”.
The victim of the burglary came to the store and identified her jewelry. She told officers that this was not all of the jewelry that was stolen. Mr. Muldrew allegedly stated that he had a bag of jewelry out in his car. He went to a black 2008 Dodge Caliber in the parking lot and allegedly produced a bag containing more jewelry. The burglary victim identified 12 pieces of stolen jewelry as being hers. The 12 pieces of jewelry were valued at $3,000.
