Evidence at the scene suggested that the driver of the Westbound Chevrolet Silverado lost control for at least 60 feet prior to rotating approximately 90°, hopping the right side curb and immediately slamming it’s driver’s side into the utility pole.  The truck came to final rest against the pole as if it were bent around the pole.  However, rather than bend, the frame appeared to have snapped and the vehicle broke into 2 pieces connected only by wires, lines, hoses and other various little connections that run the length of the vehicle.  The pole did not appear to have any significant damage.

LifeNet dispatched an Ambulance Crew to the scene.  They met with the driver of the vehicle, but did not transport him to the hospital.  He did not appear to be injured.

Traffic flow was interrupted for at least 90 minutes.
