Evidence at the scene showed that the eastbound SUV lost control on wet pavement, crossed the entire highway in a curve, exited the left side of the pavement, struck a dirt embankment head-on and came to final rest on the grassy shoulder of the highway.

Morning Star Fire & Rescue Troops arrived quickly.  They assisted with patient care and handled other duties as needed.

LifeNet dispatched 2 Ambulance Crews and the EMS Supervisor to the scene.  At least 1 injured person was transported by ambulance to the hospital.

Traffic flow was interrupted for at least 40 minutes.
