All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.

Hot Springs Police attempted to stop a silver Ford F-150 pick-up truck around 4AM last week in the area of possibly Linwood Avenue when it fled from the officer .

The truck led officers on a chase that may have started around Linwood Avenue, but, definitely wound up on Summer Street around Albert Pike Road or so.  The truck is believed to have laid 2 very long sets of very dark skid marks just prior to stop signs while southbound on Summer Street.  The pic shown of the skid marks is at the Freida Street Intersectio0n.  A very similar set of marks appear to cross the center line and run over the stop sign for the northbound traffic at the Woodlawn Intersection.  After colliding with the stop sign, the suspect vehicle got back on Summer Street, continued south on Summer Street, turned left onto Summer Place, crossed the centerline, hopped the curb and crashed head on into a sapling tree.  The occupant(s) abandoned the truck and fled on foot.

The suspect(s) were not caught throughout my time at the scene.

Any injury associated with this pursuit was unknown at the time.

This truck had been reported stolen prior to the fleeing.
