Hot Springs Police Detective Branstetter reports the following:
On 03/19/19 a local pawn shop employee reported the theft of two firearms. The employee discovered the two firearms were missing after a store audit.
The employee described the two stolen firearms/handguns as being SCCY brand 9MM’s.
On 12/16/18 HSPD Officer Z. Brown conducted a traffic stop on Tori Elizabeth Cochran. Off.Z. Brown noted in his report that Reynolds/Cochran was a convicted felon and advised that Reynolds/Cochran admitted to owning the SCCY brand 9MM that was located in her vehicle.
On 12/19/18, HSPD Detective Jessup administered a Firearms Trace through the ATF (Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) on the two firearms that were reported by the pawn shop employee as being stolen.
On 3/19/19, the ATF return showed a match for a SCCY brand 9MM that was confiscated from Reynolds/Cochran and placed into property at HSPD.
An arrest warrant was obtained on Ms. Cochran and entered into the police computer.
On 08/07/19 Ms. Cochran was served with the warrant while she was in the Garland County Detention Center on unrelated charges.
Ms. Cochran is charged with Felony Theft By Receiving with a bond amount totaling $2,500.
