Smooth Meth Bust At Wacaster Hill – GARLAND COUNTY

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

Garland County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputy Parker and Juvenile Detention Deputy Washington were on patrol in the Highway 70 West Wacaster Hill area around 1AM Friday Morning when they noticed a car allegedly violating a traffic law.

The car was stopped at the Lake Hamilton 1 Stop Valero Station.  The deputies introduced themselves.  While they were dealing with the occupants in the car, they allegedly smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle.

When I arrived, the suspects, later identified as Lena Gail Davis, 38 and Josh Paul Walters, 38, were each handcuffed, National Park Ranger Summerlin had just pulled up to assist as necessary and the deputies had just allegedly located a small amount of marijuana, a couple of drug paraphernalia items and approximately 12 grams of “ice” methamphetamine packaged in a few individual baggies.

Both suspects were transported to the Garland County Detention Center.  Ms. Davis’s charges include Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession Of Meth With Intent To Deliver.  Her bond amount totals $12,500.  Mr. Walters’ charges include Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia x2 and Possession Of Meth With Intent To Deliver.  His bond amount totals $15,000.
