The Garland County Sheriff’s Tactical Response Team assisted the Garland County Prosecutor’s Drug Task Force with serving a search warrant at the dead end of Glenmore Place (off Majestic Lodge Road) Wednseday Afternoon.
The officers arrived, set a security perimeter, may have announced themselves and served the warrant.
At least 1 person was arrested in connection to the search warrant. Grealin Germark Thomas, 38, was arrested and charged with Possession Of A Controlled Substance (x3), Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession Of A Controlled Substance With Purpose To Deliver, Unauthorized Use Of Another Person’s Property To Facilitate A Crime.
Mr. Thomas’s bond was set at $11,500.00. Booking information that I have access to does not show him at the Garland County Detention Center at this time. The reason for that is not known to me.
At least 1 other person was arrested at the scene when she made contact with 1 of the Sheriff’s TRT Members holding the security perimeter. Kristen Renee Merritt, 19, was arrested at the scene and charged with Failure To Appear in court. She was arrested and transported to the Garland County Detention Center.
Ms. Merritt’s bond was set at $1,000. Booking information that I have access to does not show her at the Garland County Detention Center at this time. The reason for that is not known to me.
Hot Springs Animal Services Troops were dispatched to the scene to assist with a Pit Bull Puppy. When they arrived at the scene, it was able to be determined that the best course of action for the puppy would be to allow it to go home with friends of the suspect that were at the scene. The puppy departed the scene with the friends.
Hot Springs Police also assisted with this operation.
No injuries were reported that I am aware of.
