Garland County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputy Strickland tried to stop a silver Dodge Ram pick-up truck early this morning in the area of Piney Junction because he wanted to talk about defective tail lights with the driver. The driver didn’t want to hear any of it and took off on the deputy.
The parade proceeded in an easterly fashion towards Hot Springs. The driver finally decided to take a left turn into the Car Wash USA Parking Lot. Cones are placed at the entrance to this business during non-working hours. The suspect vehicle mowed down a couple of those cones.
Back up units from the Garland County Sheriff’s Patrol and Hot Springs Police arrived quickly, conducted a felony stop and cuffed the driver (Daleon Seals) and his passenger (Chase Clowers) quickly. Found in the vehicle was a screwdriver used to start the STOLEN truck, a set of bolt cutters and a small amount of alcohol. It did not appear that the driver was intoxicated.
No injuries were reported in connection to this event.
Chase Clowers is charged with THeft of Property Over $2,500.00. Daleon Seals is charged with *undetermined. 1 of these suspects are wanted in Oklahoma.
