All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
Hot Springs Police were dispatched to the area of Twin Points Road at the Buster Reed Drive Intersection yesterday for the call of a disturbance.
As officers were responding to the area, they were advised by dispatch that a knife, a bat and a nail gun were possibly involved in the disturbance. They were updated again a minute or so later that advised someone had been stabbed.
HSPD Units arrived in the area where the reported fight was taking place. Some witnesses were possibly located in the area. Hot Springs Police Sergeant Lenox put up the yellow crime scene tape around a small area that included part of the wooded roadside and a portion of the roadway and maintained the integrity of this crime scene for further investigation by HSPD Detectives.
As all of that was going on, HSPD Dispatch put out that a stabbing victim was at the Buzz Buy Valero gas pumps on Central Avenue at Pakis Street. Hot Springs Police arrived quickly, met with the victim and immediately ordered an ambulance to the scene. Officers set yellow tape around a white Nissan Maxima and held this second crime scene location for detectives.
In my live video report from the scene, I mentioned that as all of this was unfolding, a disturbance broke out at the Walgreens Store near the Buzz Buy. I indicated that the Walgreens episode could have been part of this stabbing call. I have since been contacted by a witness that was at the Walgreens at the time. This witness advised that the Walgreens action was not related to the stabbing call.
LifeNet transported the victim by ambulance to the hospital. The stab wounds were serious in nature.
To my knowledge, no arrest has been made in connection to this case.
