Evidence at the scene suggested that as the northbound car and southbound car reached each other at a point adjacent to the nursing home, at least 1 of the vehicles may have crossed the centerline.

National Park Rangers were very quick to respond and assist as necessary.

Hot Springs Fire & Rescue Troops were immediately tasked with extricating 1 of the occupants from the wreckage.  Once all occupants were outside of the wreckage, they handled debris and automotive fluids clean up duties.

LifeNet Dispatched at least 2 Ambulance Crews, The EMS Supervisor and the LifeNet Air Crew.  The landing zone was approximately 1/2 mile up the highway at Desoto Park.  Children were injured in this crash.

Xtreme Towing & Recovery took charge and removed 1 of the vehicles from the scene.

This portion of Park Avenue was closed for approximately 2 hours.
