Arkansas State Police Troopers investigated a single vehicle rollover crash on I-30 EB near the 85 mile marker late last month.
Evidence at the scene suggested that the vehicle exited the pavement and overturned, coming to final rest on it’s roof. The driver had to be removed from the vehicle.
Ouachita Fire Department arrived quickly and went to work extricating the driver from the wreckage, assisting with medical care and set up the helicopter landing zone in the middle of the interstate. Southwest Rural Fire Department was called out to assist. Caddo Valley Fire Troops were placed on standby.
LifeNet dispatched at least 1 Ambulance Crew and the LifeNet Air Crew to the scene. The patient was flown by helicopter to the hospital.
Traffic flow was interrupted for at least 45 minutes.
