Evidence at the scene suggested that the Eastbound Ford Explorer exited the left side of the wet pavement and collided with the median cable safety system.  Several of the posts holding the cable system were ripped out off the ground during the crash.  The Explorer overturned and came to final rest on it’s passenger side in the fast lane on the Eastbound side of the divided highway.

Hot Springs Fire & Rescue Troops arrived quickly and assisted as needed.

LifeNet dispatched an Ambulance Crew to the scene.  They met with an occupant of the crashed SUV, but it is unclear whether they transported her to the hospital or not.

Tillery’s Towing took charge of the vehicle and removed it from the scene.

Traffic flow was interrupted for approximately 45 minutes.
