Scott Fisher, a passing motorist, stopped and wanted to point out a situation here at this particular spot on the access road.  He said that he drives through this spot several times each day.  He says that he has witnessed multiple near miss traffic crashes all due to the location of this exit ramp.  He said that traffic moving at highway speeds crest the hill and are on the access road very quickly without warning.  He suggests either closing or moving this ramp in the interest of safety.  He was quite passionate about his message.

I saw what he was talking about.  Access Road traffic must yield to the vehicles exiting the highway right at the crest of the hill.  Leaving this crash scene, I was almost hit head-on down at the Gorge Road Intersection as I was maneuvering to get onto the entrance ramp for Highway 70 East.  Be careful traveling in this area.

Traffic flow was interrupted for approximately 45 minutes.
