Wahoo Street Shooting

On 11-19-19 at approximately 3:00 AM officers responded to 209 Wahoo in reference to a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers spoke to the victim, Mondraul Jernigan Sr., who had gunshot wounds to both legs. The responding officers applied a tourniquet to one of his legs to stop the bleeding. Jernigan told officers that his son, Mondraul Jernigan Jr., shot him and left in a silver or dark gray car.

Mondraul Jernigan, Jr. – wanted for allegedly shooting his father on Wahoo Street.

Lifenet transported Jernigan Sr. to a local hospital for treatment. The crime scene technician and detectives responded to the scene to collect evidence and speak to witnesses. Detectives were able to obtain arrest warrants on Mondraul Jernigan Jr. for Domestic Battery in the First Degree and Possession of a Firearm by a Certain Person.
