On November 9, 2017 at approximately 6:41PM, the Garland County Sheriff’s Department received a call of shots fired in the 100 block of Fernwood Street. Upon arrival patrol deputies located a male juvenile laying in a carport with apparent gunshot wounds. The suspect fled the scene prior to patrol deputies arriving and the juvenile victim was taken to a local area hospital with life threatening injuries.
Sheriff McCormick announced today that an arrest has been made in this shooting case. Jamar Harris, 19 of Hot Springs has been arrested for Battery 1st Degree, B Felony, and is currently in the Garland County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond.
