Sterling Circle Fatal Shooting
On July 23, 2020 at 9:24 PM the Garland County Communications Center received a call in reference to a disturbance at 137 Sterling Circle in Hot Springs. The caller advised he had been “jumped” and had abdominal injuries. He also stated that there were two people on scene that had been shot. At approximately 9:25 PM Deputies with the Garland County Sheriff’s Office, LifeNet, and units with the Piney Fire Department responded to the scene. At approximately 9:36 PM Investigators with the Garland County Criminal Investigation Division were contacted and responded to the scene.
Patrol Deputies arrived on the scene at approximately 9:30 PM and observed a person, later identified as Anthony Henderson laying between two cars with apparent gunshot wounds. As Deputies examined Henderson contact was made with an individual, identified as Christian Arthur, and another subject, identified as Bradley Daniels, who were detained. Deputies continued to search the area and located an unresponsive person, later identified as Christopher Contreras, in the yard with gunshot wounds to his chest.
LifeNet began to treat both individuals in which Henderson was transported to a local hospital and Contreras was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both suspects, Daniels and Arthur, were transported by Deputies to the Garland County Sheriff’s Office where they were read their Miranda Rights and interviewed.
Christian Arthur has been charged with Battery 1st Degree (Class B Felony) and Murder 2nd Degree (Class A Felony).
Bradley Daniels has been charged with Battery 1st Degree (Class B Felony) and Murder 2nd Degree (Class A Felony).
Both are being held at the Garland County Detention Center.
