Ouachita Avenue Shooting Brings Murder Charge

On November 17, 2020, at approximately 5:00 P.M., officers with the Hot Springs Police Department responded to the 600 block of Ouachita Avenue in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival officers located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. The victim was identified as Shane Roy Sowers (43), of Hot Springs. Through witness’s statements and investigation, detectives have developed a suspect in this case.

Leslie Sinclair, 25, of Hot Springs – charged with Murder in the shooting death of Shane Roy Sowers.

On November 18, 2020, Leslie Sinclair (25), of Hot Springs was arrested and charged with Murder in the 2nd Degree. Sinclair was transported to the Garland County Detention Center and held on a $250,000 bond.
