Press Release – HOT SPRINGS POLICE DEPARTMENT (Corporal Joey Williams)

On 9/12/18, officers with the Hot Springs Police Department located and attempted to stop a stolen 2012 Hyundai Sonata, driven by Gystin Parker, 19, of Riverdale, Georgia. Parker stopped but then fled from officers in the vehicle. The pursuit was terminated shortly after it began due to dangerous conditions. Parker continued to flee and lost control of the car in the 2100blk of Albert Pike road, he left the roadway and struck a vehicle occupied by George and Kathaline Luster. Both were killed instantly. At that time Parker was arrested for Theft over $5000.00 and Felony Fleeing. 

Gystin Parker (1/16/99) of Riverdale, Georgia – allegedly killed 2 people while fleeing in a stolen car.

The Hot Springs Police Department requested assistance from the Arkansas State Police Accident Reconstruction Team. Based on their investigation and final report the Hot Springs Police Department charged Parker with 2 counts of Murder in the First Degree.

Parker is currently being held at the Garland County Detention Center on a zero bond.
