Press Release: Juvenile Shot In The Face; 2 Arrested Including His Mother – PEARCY

JUVENILE SHOT IN THE FACE

On Wednesday 02/14/2018 at approximately 0700 hours the Garland County Sheriff’s Department received a call stating that a person had been shot in the 400 block of Ryan Road Pearcy, AR. and was being transported by personal vehicle to the hospital. Deputies along with LifeNet personnel met the vehicle at Marion Anderson and Hwy 70 where they came in contact with the victim, a 17 year old male, who was shot in the face. Also in the vehicle with the victim was his mother, Lessie Galo 37, and, Keonte Rauls 18. The victim was transported by LifeNet to a local area hospital to be treated for apparent gunshot wounds, and at this time it appears as though the injury is non-life threatening.

Mrs. Galo and Mr. Rauls were taken to the Sheriff’s Department for questioning, and upon further investigation both were arrested. Mr. Rauls was charged with Battery 1st Degree a class B felony. Mrs. Galo was arrested for outstanding warrants and 2 firearms violations for firearms she was found to be in possession of, both were transported to the Garland County Detention Center to be booked.
