Press Release: Boyfriend Shoots Woman In The Face; Felony Arrest – GARLAND COUNTY

Woman Shot In The Face On Durham Loop

On Thursday, January 30, 2020, at 0233hrs the Garland County Communications Center received a call inreference to a shooting at 236 Durham Loop. At 0234hrs deputies with the Garland County Sheriff’s Office, Lifenet, and the Garland County Criminal Investigation Division responded to the scene. At 0237hrs Deputies arrived on scene and made contact with a white female identified as, 43-year-old Jacquline Scallion, who was suffering from a gunshot wound to the face. Scallion advised deputies that her live-in boyfriend, 45-year-old Cody Woolems, had shot her and was still in their residence at 239 Durham Loop. Scallion was transported by Lifenet to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries.

Deputies made contact with suspect, Woolems, in the residence of 239 Durham Loop. After Woolems refused to come out, the Garland County Sheriff’s Office Crisis Negation Team began conversing with Woolems and was successful in the aiding of his surrender. Woolems was placed into custody and transported to the Garland County Sheriff’s Office for questioning.

Cody Woolems is charged with Domestic Battery 1st Degree (Class B Felony). He is being held at the Garland County Detention Center.

The case is still under investigation.
