On December 28, 2017, the Garland County Sheriff’s Department posted on their Facebook Page that 18 year old Darrell Stipes had been reported missing.

Deceased Person Identified

On January 17, 2018 at 2:10 pm, Hot Springs Police responded to a vacant lot at the intersection of Spring and Illinois. Upon arrival, officers located the body of a deceased adult. HSPD detectives and crime scene personnel also responded and began an investigation.

The body was sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory and has been identified as 18 year old Darrell Stipes of Mountain Pine. Stipes was reported missing to the Garland County Sheriff’s Department on 12/5/17. An autopsy concluded that Darrell Stipes death was the result of Accidental Hypothermia.
