Permits Required For Open Burning
HOT SPRINGS – The Hot Springs Fire Department reminds all city residents that a valid burn permit is required in order to burn. Burning without a permit or failure to abide permit regulations may result in fines from the Fire Department.
Residents can obtain a permit with a valid ID listing the street address of the burn location. Permits are issued at the Central Station, 310 Broadway Street; or Station 6, 220 Lakeshore Drive. Only natural vegetation is permitted to burn.
The fire chief or a representative may prohibit burning if atmospheric conditions or local circumstances warrant. For more information, call 321-6970.
